Published on August 5, 2014 by in Uncategorized

Published on August 4, 2014 by in Uncategorized

Jury Duty

Published on June 17, 2014 by in Uncategorized

Yesterday, I was called for jury duty, and I dutifully appeared. After a whole day of voir dire, I was one of the first peremptory challenges. I knew I would be. I always am. Attorneys just don’t like to have attorneys, even former attorneys on juries. That is fine, I suppose, but I wonder why

Using Improv to Teach Language

Published on October 18, 2013 by in Uncategorized

I had a great time last night at Vida teaching the intermediate English as a second language class. Several weeks ago I discovered a book by Matthew McMillion on using improv to teach foreign languages. I have been using his concepts for some time, but had hesitated to use his suggestion of simply giving a

Makes me laugh

Published on May 3, 2013 by in Uncategorized

There is no end to the number of links one gets on Face Book, and I rarely click on them and even more rarely pass them on. This one, however is different. I don’t know why it strikes me so funny, but it does. Perhaps it’s in the telling, or perhaps it’s the joke itself,
